I was stationed at nkp and I do remember the hand grenade incident. Joe Andrews: I have several of the of agent orange side affects, including cancer of the ureter type 2 diabetes, etc. I am gathering information to submit a claim. We serviced the base supply computer and the teletype machines in the warehouses. Do you rember if the supply warehouses were within 500 meters of the perimeter? Do you have pictures of the warehouses.. My memory is not very good about the geographics of the base. gblack1954@nelson-tel.net

It was around early 1971. Someone chucked a grenade in the club. injured 18 and killed 3 soles I believe. I ran to the clinic and helped people get in with the type of blood needed. They called for O-pos blood I keep yelling for anyone with it and realized I had O-Pos. and went back to the area for drawing blood. That's when I saw my first sole die in front of my eyes. a nightmare I live over and over again .. for close to 50 years now ... He was my age .. I will never for get

suggsyw: Agent Orange was stored, sprayed, and disposed of at NKP. You just have to prove that you were stationed there and you didn't have to set foot in Nam to be exposed. Good luck, don't take "denied" for an answer. Don't give up.

My father was stationed at NKP in 67-68. I know he said he worked on the O-2, and possibly cargo planes. His name was David Schafer. I'm still trying to get his records to find out the unit names. If anyone remembers my dad, please email me at debiannj2@comcast.net.

If anyone has pictures of my dad from NKP or any of the other places he was stationed, I'd appreciate it as he donated his photo album to the AF Museum at Dover AFB before I could get any of the photos copied and they won't let me have them back to do that.

Hello all,
I was stationed at NKP in the 56th SOW in the aircraft maintenance outfit as a Quality Control Specialist from Nov 1971 to Nov 1972. I am trying to get in contact with any of my old budies and would likie to get any info on the C-141 flight from NKP to Tan Son Nhut, Vietnam since I can not prove to the VA Administration that I was in Nam. Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Walter Suggs,Smsgt> (ret)
