This was my very first whitewater rafting trip. The trip that started it all. The South Fork of the American River is the most popular whitewater rafting river in California - perfect for first timers. The rapid seen here is "Satan's Cesspool" which is a Class III+ rapid. Yes, I am the one falling out of the raft. My brother Al is the one laughing at me.
