Hi, My name is Rhonda I actual lived in this house about 1964. It was a great house I too have found memories or the staircase and it had a palor type living room. I was about 7 years old. Great pics. Thanks, Rhonda

Believe it or not, I grew up in Halfway. I remember walking past this house about a thousand times with my best friend. Once, on a lark, we dared each other to go inside the house, which nobody except for the landowner's cows did anymore.
The place was dry as an old bone and littered with glass, splinters and flaking cowpies. Like all those old farm houses, it had cramped little rooms and narrow hallways. All the windows were long gone. The floor protested and squeaked on every step.
It also had a long, narrow staircase that curled up to the second floor in a perfect spiral.
We never went upstairs; we were too chicken for that. Sometimes I wish I had when I'd had the chance. That house burned down years ago.
Thanks for the picture. A lot of memories resurface, ones that I'm happy to reacquaint with.
