I didn't get a chance to make it to the pgeant this year in Roanoke, and therefore I am dependent on Julius's wonderu pictures to give a sense of being there with all y friends! I wish Hannah Kiefer only the best, she is a star rising, and to Lauren Collier, I want to thank you for adding style and grace to the Pageant over the years, we all owe you a debt of gratitude, for it is not easy to come in second sometimes. As someone who has followed the Miss VA pageant for a few years now and will be involved with it in the upcoming year, I must say that my experience at finals night this year was as fun as my first :) Hannah Kiefer, you exemplify the class of a refined young woman and the charm of the girl next door, as you did in your on-stage interview Saturday night. Best of luck to you in the upcoming year, especially at Miss America, May you shine brightly and enjoy all the many blessings that will be coming your way. Congratulations to all the contestants. As a Virginian and a supporter of the MVO program, I must say that I am a little embarrassed by some of the comments on this page. This page, posted by the wonderful Julius Tolentino, is supposed to be all about congratulating and uplifting your favorite contestant not spilling your 'sour grapes.' I understand that many of you may be disappointed, but this is not the appropriate forum to discuss these disappointments. Let's support our girls and leave the bickering to negative things like messageboards. Congratulations to the new Miss VA, Hannah Kiefer, you are beautiful.

I was AT the pageant and watched ALL the work the ladies did. A little suprised about who didn't make it, but I supported those that did all the same. Congrats to Hanna and to ALL the contestants. You did what you do and the judges rewarded HANNA with the title. GET USE TO IT. It's not going to help bickering about who did and didn't make the 10 or win. Let's get behind Hanna and support her just the same if your girl (s) had won. Hanna banana you rock...no matter what they others say. You'll do VA PROUD.

I must say and in all honesty I have been following the competiton for years, and this is the first year I noticed the passing of the guard so to speak, a young lady winning who was spectacular and a host of newer faces in the Top 10 that we haven't seen before. It saddens me deeply to think a young lady has to keep entering the contest year after year after year, there should be a rule that says if you make the 10 ten this year, then you are finished. I think that might improve the interest in the pageant. But well done by everyone, it was great! Nobody should hang there head. God Bless you all. ---Ginger Dylan.
