Niall, I'd not thought of Stravinski's statement as a manifesto, simply a concept worth exploring and that seems to fit what I am doing in this gallery. Besides, I subscribe to the Aphorism of the Day from aphorismsgalore.com and I feel compelled to use the good ones when they come along. Today's aphorism is: "It has just been discovered that research causes cancer in rats." What would that inspire, a gallery of dead rats? Far better that I flirt with a little extreme specialization than resort to killing rats for my art. Perish the thought.

The paradox in Stravinsky's aphorism is pleasing but comes too close to a manifesto for extreme specialisation as inherently superior. That I'd profoundly disagree with. However, the gallery is gorgeous and it gets my vote.:)
